phpBB Primetime is a portal/cms built around your phpBB installation. It seeks to transform your phpBB board into a content management system that is flexible enough to allow you to design and manage your site the way you see fit.

Installing phpBB Primetime is easy. Please follow the instructions in the INSTALL document contained in this distribution.

After installing phpBB Primetime, you can manage your site in the administrative control panel by clicking on the 'Primetime' tab, where you will be able to add/edit/remove blocks, create 'content types' (news, articles, etc), custom pages, etc, or add/remove Primetime modules.

Some Primetime modules add permission options that will usually be found under the 'Primetime' tab when editing user/group/forum permissions.

3.i. Internationalisation (i18n)

Currently, there are no official releases of any other languages for phpBB Primetime.

3.ii. Styles

Currently, phpBB Primetime is only compatible with prosilver-based phpBB3 styles.

Once you have downloaded a style, unarchive (or upload the unarchived contents of) the package into your styles/ directory. You then need to visit Administration -> Styles, you should see the new style available, click install and it will become available for all your users. You can now create or copy existing blocks for your new style by going to the 'Primetime' tab.

3.iii. Modifications

phpBB Primetime has the ability to add/remove modules. Currently, there are no official Primetime mod releases aside from what's available in this distribution, although development is ongoing for additional modules.

Please remember that any bugs or other issues that occur after you have added any non-Primetime modification should NOT be reported to the bug tracker (see below). First remove the modification and see if the problem is resolved. If there are any conflicts between phpBB Primetime and other phpBB MODS, please let us know.

Even though we have tried to make phpBB Primetime as easy to use as possible, we recognize that there may be a learning curve.

4.i. Sample Data

At installation, if you choose to install the sample data, phpBB Primetime will be installed with 3 articles that will provide you with additional information on managing blocks and creating content.

This is the sixth release candidate for phpBB Primetime 1.0.1. We focussed mainly on bug fixes and a few minor features that we thought were necessarily for a better user experience.

This version of phpBB Primetime requires at least phpBB 3.0.6-RC1
